Yesterday’s paisleys
Remixed my basic go-to-office blue and grey color scheme for a spring fit. Dark navy knit shirt over mid-blue/greyish chinos. Checked jacket balancing it all out while also serving as a focal point. Grey loafers for consistency.
Also: My colleague joked I had a “Crip square” in my pocket.

Black & Blue
With this simple color-combination, added some dot-on-check action for ‘visual interest’, and dressed it down with vintage-washed black denim and throwback Weejun pennies.
Uphill climb to the top
Purple pants to the office? Seems navy at a cursory glance, but a closer, discerning eye reveals a rich violet. Think the darkest pigment possible of a Japanese eggplant, with a matte finish.
In the same vein as Silicon Valley engineers with undercover crazy socks, the subtle shading added some hiding-in-plain-sight punch to an otherwise basic office kit.
With green-grey jacket, of course.
